FAQ

How should we dress for our family session?

A.Keep it simple. (And comfortable.) Find an outfit you feel and look great in! This could be a long flowing dress or your favourite shirt paired with neutral bottoms.
Pick a colour or two from your outfit and incorporate that into the rest of your family's fits. Good colours to stick with: neutrals and earthy tones, pastels, gentle greens/blues/pinks, cream or off-white, you get the idea! Small patterns are okay too.
Remember to stay away from neons, all black outfits, & clothes with large logos or large words. Neons cast colour onto your skin, blacks can absorb too much light making it hard to see details, and big logos are distracting.

**Note: Some black is fine! If one person is wearing black make sure to include colours in your other family members outfits.

Still not sure what to wear? Just ask me! I'd be happy to help you pick something out!

How many pictures will we receive?

A.Every session is different, but let me tell you I have never sent out a gallery with less that 40 photos.
It all depends on a few things! We do everything we can do with the time we have. For example for a half hour family photo session you would receive at least 40 images. Where as an extended family photo session with 10+ people you could receive at least 75 photos!

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

A.Absolutely! I totally get it, sometimes it feels like there is a lot of pressure to be in front of the camera. It's completely normal to feel this way!
Unless you're a professional model, you've probably not spent much time posing yourself. This is where I come in! Not only have I done this plenty of times before I have lots of poses lined up to make anyone look their best!
My style is generally pretty natural, I like to incorporate natural movement into your session. I may give a prompt and then see what happens! This goes especially well when working with kids, sometimes the best photos aren't the posed "sitting-still" ones but the candid ones where your child is showing the rest of the family a rock they found on the beach!
